Cataleague gives organizers a single place to create events, register players, run brackets, and publish live scores — for any sport, game, or esport. A built-in Virtual Referee lets admins officiate matches on and off the field, while players and fans follow leaderboards and share results straight to social media. Delivered by Next Level Software as a cross-platform mobile app with a web-based event management tool.
Organizers ran events through spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups, and paper brackets — a setup that fell apart the moment a tournament grew past a handful of players. Registrations got missed, score updates lagged, referee calls turned into disputes, and nobody had a clear view of how an event was actually progressing.
The brief called for one platform that worked across sports, traditional games, and esports alike: fast event creation, registration for up to 32 players and 75 matches, multiple admins working the same event without stepping on each other, and a way to officiate matches digitally instead of arguing about them after the fact.
On top of the operational side, the client wanted players and fans to stay engaged between matches — sharing scores and leaderboards socially, and browsing bite-sized reads about the games and sports on the platform.
We mapped the organizer's workflow end to end — event creation, registration, live play, and post-match sharing — then built each piece to hold up under a real tournament, not just a demo.
A single cross-platform app for iOS and Android that treats esports, traditional sports, and games as the same underlying event model.
Angular-powered event management tools for building brackets, assigning admins, and monitoring a tournament as it runs.
The Virtual Referee feature lets admins call matches from their phone, with scores publishing live the moment a game ends.
Social score-sharing, live leaderboards, and a dynamic mini-reads section keep players and fans coming back between matches.
Weekly demos tracked the platform from empty event shell to a fully officiated, shareable tournament experience.
